"Justice, freedom, and lies" by Bella Sarcione

I created this art to highlight racially injustice. The reason I decided to highlight racially injustice was mainly because of what ICE is doing currently towards immigrants with all the violence. This is the reason I choose the Statue of Liberty to be the main focus because it the first thing you see when watching old movies about characters immigrating and having the words "the land of freedom and equally" in the background and the truth being on the Statue. Also the reason I put xs on the Statue of Liberty was that most of what the Statue of Liberty stand for are gone so in turn the Statue of Liberty is dead. I only did a shadow of the statue because it's like a shell of it's former self.
